The sewing machine stalled halfway through a curtain hem in 1979. Aunt June replaced the cracked drive belt instead of buying another machine. She wrote the belt size on a note card and set it beside her eyeglasses. By supper, she could find the machine but not the glasses. That is the idea behind it.
