my-knees-louder-than-my-truck-jacket
"My Knees Are Louder Than My Truck" Vintage Denim Jacket

The drugstore kept your roll of film for a week. On pickup day, you drove the truck over and carried the envelope home unopened. Everyone gathered at the kitchen table to see what came out. Your knees cracked when you got up to pass around the one decent shot of the truck. Waiting meant you found out together, blurry prints and all. That is the idea behind it.

The line works because “louder” gives the knees the last word over a pickup that was never quiet. Anyone who has climbed out of a truck and heard both knees announce it will nod. The red pickup, orange explosion and dust cloud make the joke easy to spot. It is not a lecture about getting older. It is not a complaint, either.

Denim with a little give: The medium-wash cotton-blend denim has a touch of stretch.
